The Ministry of Education is partnering with the BVI Football Association (BVIFA) and FIFA in the official launch of the Football for Schools programme.
The Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports will focus on access and equity for every child in the Virgin Islands when it observes Special Education Day 2024 on Friday.
The vision of the Government of the Virgin Islands is to develop leaders in excellence and innovation, who will contribute to the development of the Virgin Islands to the benefit of present and future generations.
Due to adverse weather conditions forecasted for today, Monday, 11th November, 2024,
the Department of Disaster Management (DDM) has advised the closure of all public schools in the territory. This decision is to ensure the safety of our students and staff as cloudy spells with showers and thunderstorms are expected to impact the territory throughout the day.
Students from all schools in the Territory have been engaged in workshops, games and challenges that tested their critical thinking skills in all aspects of S.T.E.A.M as the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports hosted Innovation Week in the Multipurpose Sports Complex.

Madam Speaker, as we continue to reimagine education in the Virgin Islands, it is essential to recognise that curriculum review and data-driven instruction are the keys to unlocking our students' full potential. Just as a captain must regularly recalibrate their course to navigate turbulent waters, we must continuously adjust our educational strategies to ensure that we are moving in the right direction.
