Minister for Education, Youth Affairs and Sports Honourable Sharie de Castro will attend the 9th OECS Council of Ministers of Education meetings in St. Kitts from Tuesday, September 10 to Saturday, September 14.

The H. Lavity Stoutt Community College’s (HLSCC) Centre for Applied Marine Studies (CAMS) recently welcomed Dr. Loay Jabre, an HLSCC alumnus (A.S., Natural Science ’10) and Postdoctoral Investigator from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute (WHOI) in Falmouth, Massachusetts for a two-week exploratory study and training visit.

Three students from the Elmore Stoutt High School ESHS and one student from the Hamilton Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC) were selected to represent the Virgin Islands in Athens Greece for the Robotics Global Competition in September.
The Robomindset Summer Camp 2024 has begun under the theme “Nurturing innovative and adaptive thinking through robotics” at the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) on Monday 15 July.

Premier of the Virgin Islands, Honourable Dr. Natalio Wheatley, expressed profound pride in the achievements of the Territory’s youth who have successfully completed their secondary education at the Elmore Stoutt Secondary School, marking this moment as a pivotal transition into adulthood.
Deputy Premier and Minister for Financial Services, Labour, and Trade, Honourable Lorna Smith, OBE, presented fifteen laptop computers to the principal, Ms. Akima Powell of Robinson O'Neal Memorial Primary School (ROMPS) for their graduating class of 2024.
