Members of Statutory Bodies across the Virgin Islands selected as gender focal points are featured at the recently held Office of Gender Affairs’ gender focal point workshop. The workshop was held under the theme: Building Gender Awareness/Sensitivity in the Statutory Bodies: A Workshop. The main objectives of the session were to introduce participants to basic concepts in gender and gender related terms, increase participants’ knowledge and sharpen their skills on gender awareness and sensitivity also to create a core group of Gender Focal Points who can advocate for gender equality in their respective Statutory Bodies. The meeting was facilitated by Office of Gender Affairs Coordinator Ms. Patricia Hackett.
