Today, on International Women's Day, we honour the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women around the world. It is a day set aside to celebrate the strides made towards gender equality, while also recognizing the obstacles we still face.
Four women are featured as they received bouquets of flowers on International Women’s Day for their contribution to the field of technology in the Virgin Islands both in the public and private sectors.

Rankin CMG, Junior Minister for Tourism Honourable Alvera Maduro-Caines, members of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force and the Zonta Club of Tortola, along with many others, congregated with the Office of Gender Affairs at the New Testament Church of God on Sunday, October 2 to kick start Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
