The staff and students of the Alexandrina Maduro Primary School are the latest recipients of a new playground facility.

Minister for Education, Youth Affairs and Sports Honourable Sharie de Castro, staff and students of the Ebenezer Thomas Primary School, and representatives from Green VI are featured as they planted a Cherry tree in observance of Earth Day which was on 22^nd April. 

Joyce Samuel Primary School is the second of five primary schools in the Territory to receive a new playground facility following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of the Virgin Islands and Unite BVI. 

The students of the Willard Wheatley Primary School are the recipients of a new playground facility following a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of the Virgin Islands and Unite BVI. The playground was handed over to Principal Mrs. Enid Penn-Charles following a brief ceremony. The event was also addressed by Premier and Minister of Finance Dr. The Honourable Natalio Wheatley, Minister for Education, Youth Affairs and Sports Honourable Sharie de Castro, Executive Director of Unite BVI Dr. Sauda Smith and Representative for the Eighth District Honourable Marlon Penn. The school is the first of five primary schools in the Territory earmarked to receive playgrounds.

Fifteen Softball teams from across the public and private sector are featured as they gathered to officially open the Industrial Softball League 2024.

Staff of the Public Library of the Virgin Islands are featured as they observe the official opening of Library Week 2024 under the theme, "Libraries: Moving full STEAM Upstream".

Minister for Communications and Works Honourable Kye M. Rymer is featured as he held a press briefing on Thursday, April 18 with local media to provide an update on his recent attendance at the Seatrade Cruise Global 2024 event, the BVI Electricity Corporation’s (BVIEC) renewable energy initiative and other matters of his ministry’s portfolio.

Officers from the  Virgin Islands Public Service Learning Institute (VIPSLI) are featured as they met with Thirty-Four (34) officers from the Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Service to introduce the talent assessment process for the department. 

Officers from the Civil Registry and Passport Office are featured as they held an awareness meeting with the members of the District Six community on April 16.
