His Excellency, the Acting Governor Mr. David D. Archer Jr., chaired the special meeting held on 26th July, 2024, in the absence of Governor Daniel Pruce, who was overseas on private business. The special meeting was held at the Premier's Conference Room.

As we are in a reflection mode, let me pause and reflect on some of the public projects under the recovery and development programme that were successfully completed:

I am pleased to confirm the remaining audits completed as part of the Commission of Inquiry were laid in the House of Assembly on 3^rd September and are now publicly accessible on www.auditbvi.com. These audits, relating to COVID-19 assistance grants and government contracts over $100k, include:

Madam Speaker, as we continue to reimagine education in the Virgin Islands, it is essential to recognise that curriculum review and data-driven instruction are the keys to unlocking our students' full potential. Just as a captain must regularly recalibrate their course to navigate turbulent waters, we must continuously adjust our educational strategies to ensure that we are moving in the right direction.

Madam Speaker, as we reimagine education in the Virgin Islands, it is essential that we equip our students with the tools and skills they need to thrive in the fast-evolving world of tomorrow.
