Managing Director of the BVI Airports Authority Mr. Kurt Menal has said the delay encountered prior to the departure of American Airlines Flight # 3989 from the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport destined to Miami Florida on Sunday June 4 was as a result of the prevailing winds and high temperature.

American Airlines Launches Successful Proving Flight

Members of Government and officials from the Airport Authority are captured as they witnessed the successful proving flight which is a test flight by American Airlines on 25th  May, in preparation for the inaugural passenger flight that is scheduled to land on 1st June. The American Airlines crew was greeted by government officials and gifted with tokens of appreciation from the BVI Tourist Board.
