June 29, 2023 The Department of Immigration has ramped up its operations at the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport in efforts to facilitate the increase in the number of travelers being processed at the airport.
Managing Director of the BVI Airports Authority Mr. Kurt Menal has said the delay encountered prior to the departure of American Airlines Flight # 3989 from the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport destined to Miami Florida on Sunday June 4 was as a result of the prevailing winds and high temperature.
79 passengers aboard the greatly anticipated American Airlines 3989 flight from Miami (MIA) arrived at the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport (EIS) to a warm Virgin Islands welcome today, June 1.
The BVI Airports Authority (the Authority) wishes to advise the travelling public that airports in the Territory have resumed normal operations at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 27, following a brief closure.

The Virgin Islands is said to be American Airlines “Sexiest New Destination” as the Territory gears up for a new service with the airline to Miami, which is expected to be launched on June 1.
