The Virgin Islands (VI) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have held their second meeting on available UNDP assistance to the VI for recovery after a natural disaster.

The Commission of Inquiry Act (Cap. 237 Section 2) specifies that, “It shall be lawful for the Governor whenever he shall deem it advisable, to issue a commission

At 10:47 a.m. today, 4^th November 2020, a plane with four (4) souls on board, crashed on the island of Anegada.  At 11:00 a.m. three (3) souls were recovered with non-critical injuries.

Mr. Speaker, the Caribbean Region is about to enter another hurricane season and I would encourage everyone to accelerate their preparations as we anticipate an active season. I certainly recognise the challenges that emerge in our preparations as we continue to grapple with the pandemic and its social and economic impacts.  We must always remain vigilant and prepared.
