The proceeds raised by partners during Child Abuse Prevention month activities were handed over to the British Virgin Islands’ Social Development Department.
The Social Development Department hosted a Family Movie Night on April 27 to bring the curtains down on activities to observe Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month.
Residents of the Virgin Islands are invited to Wear Blue or ‘Every Child Matters’ t-shirts on Friday, April 26 to demonstrate unity against child abuse and to support survivors.
The Social Development Department is partnering with local family owned business, LSL Bakery to produce blue cupcakes every Friday in April in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month. This year’s theme is ‘Every Child Matters’.
The Social Development Department is inviting families on Tortola to a Movie Night on Saturday, April 27 at Captain Mulligans at Nanny Cay at 6:00 p.m.
