The United States Virgin Islands and the British Virgin Islands will mark the 43^rd anniversary of USVI-BVI Friendship Day celebrations on Saturday, September 17.

Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE led a delegation to the recently held Inter Virgin Islands Council (IVIC)  meeting on September 2 in St. Thomas, where among other areas of the mutual interests, the two Governments discussed the cultural exchange of musicians.

Tribute is being paid to the cultural contribution made by horse racing stalwarts in the Virgin Islands to the sport with an exhibition.

Each year, we come here to this historic site — the Sunday Morning Well — to celebrate, to remember, to reflect on the story of how our forebears went from struggles to triumph.

Ladies and gentlemen, this weekend we will come together to mark one of our most important historical and cultural events, the Annual BVI Emancipation Festival celebrations, which will continue across this Territory over the next few days.

Sherron Thomas will launch her book, ‘Essence of Inspiration: Enlightening and Purposeful Poems that intend to Captivate and Inspire’, tomorrow, Friday, July 29.

Local author, Phoenicia Warner will launch her first book ‘Overcome Your Thirst’ in a 7:00 a.m. ceremony this Saturday, July 16 at the Save the Seed Centre, Duff’s Bottom.
