The Disaster Recovery Coordination Committee (DRCC) of the Government of the Virgin Islands continues to move forward swiftly with finalising the long term development plan for the Territory.
Minister for Education and Culture, Honourable Myron V. Walwyn has labelled it ‘an act of kindness that goes beyond business but rather speaks to humanity’ following the donation of a semi-permanent 4,000 square feet schooling facility on Virgin Gorda.
The staff and students of the Primary Division of the Bregado Flax Education Centre in Virgin Gorda had a special start of their academic year today with the donation of a 4000 square feet semi-permanent structure that will be used as their temporary school.

Officers from the Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Services have recommended the Project Uplift group support sessions offered exclusively for public officers.
I once again take the opportunity to welcome all to the start of the 2017/2018 academic year and to address educators, parents, students and the general community.

Premier and Minister of Finance Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE is currently in the United Kingdom discussing the Territory’s recovery effort with senior UK government ministers following hurricanes Irma and Maria.
To support the continuation of business and rebuilding in the Virgin Islands following the passage of Hurricane Irma on September 6, the BVI Ports Authority (BVIPA) is extending its hours, effective tomorrow, Wednesday, November 1. Customers will have access to services at the Port Purcell facility from 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM, Monday through Friday and from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturdays.
