The public is asked to note that the Territory-wide fogging campaign which started on Beef Island continues from the Queen Elizabeth Bridge through Pasea Estate and is expected to be completed by Monday, August 28.  

My fellow Virgin Islands residents, I would first like to take this opportunity to thank Jehovah for his mercies during the recent heavy rains, which caused severe flooding that resulted in the damage of property and infrastructure in our Territory.  It could have been much worse, and we are thankful that here was no loss of life.

Families affected by the August 7 tropical wave continue to receive assistance from the government, private sector and non-governmental organisations.

Personas que hayan perdido propiedad personal durante el paso de la onda tropical que ocurrió el 7 de Agosto pueden registrar sus reclamos de artículos esenciales al Departamento de Manejo de Desastres.

Residents are encouraged to take precautions and to assist in clean-up efforts following the impact of the recent flood caused by the passage of a tropical wave.

Individuals who lost personal property items during the passage of the August 7 Tropical Wave have until Friday, August 25, 2017 to file claims. 

Residents who have lost personal property items as a result of the passage of the Tropical Wave on August 7, are advised that they can file recovery claims on essential items with the Department of Disaster Management.

The technical drainage and landslide experts have returned to Puerto Rico to compile a report on their findings following their damage assessments on Tortola after the passage of a tropical wave on August 7.
