The Government of the Virgin Islands will introduce educational legislation to provide for the sound and sustainable management of education, youth affairs and sports in the Territory.

The Ministry of Education has launched its Professional Development Series for Educators, developed in collaboration with the Institute of Education at H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC).

Three students from the Elmore Stoutt High School ESHS and one student from the Hamilton Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC) were selected to represent the Virgin Islands in Athens Greece for the Robotics Global Competition in September. 

Virgin Islands builders, farmers and land owners have access to detailed information about the nutrition, microbiology, permeability and vegetation of their soil thanks to the Department of Disaster Management’s (DDM) Comprehensive Soils Study continuing throughout this year.

Students of the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College presented a captivating flashback of the First Sitting of the 13^th Legislative Council in 1995 that highlighted various plans of past leaders.

Partners representing various agencies are featured as they informed the public about the activities planned for this year’s Culture and Tourism month, operating under the theme “Our Virgin Islands, Our Story: Tell Your Story”.

Thirty (30) public officers have completed a Preventative Maintenance Training, provided through the Virgin Islands Public Service Learning Institute (VIPSLI).

The public is reminded that the series of town hall meetings for “Granting Residence and Belonger Status” are scheduled to begin this evening 11^th October, at the Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium at the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College at 6:30 p.m.

Madam Speaker, I take this opportunity to apprise this Honourable House on the recent notable developments at the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College. 672 students are enrolled this Fall semester for certificate and associate degree programmes.
