The British Virgin Islands has shared its perspective on how it intends to safely reopen the economy amid the COVID-19 global pandemic. 

Members of the House of Assembly have been tested negative for the COVID–19 virus after attending a funeral in March.

The British Virgin Islands is reporting that 9,079 first doses of the AstraZeneca Vaccine were safely administered as COVID-19 vaccination efforts continue.

Persons travelling to the British Virgin Islands and are requesting to quarantine at their home or on vessels are advised to begin the application seven (7) days prior to travel date. 

It is April 15, 2021 and travellers coming to the British Virgin Islands now have the option to enter via seaport through the Road Town Jetty in Tortola, British Virgin Islands.

COVID-19 has had environmental, economic, and societal impacts across the world. 

The British Virgin Islands Ports Authority (BVIPA) is reopening the Road Town Jetty to international ferry passenger operations on 15 April 2021. 

Officials from the Ministry of Health and Social Development signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Private Medical Practitioners to begin offering both doses of the COVID-19 AstraZeneca vaccine.

Residents who received their first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine should prepare to schedule the second dose after April 22.
