Today as Minister of Health, I will give an update of COVID-19 test results; the receipt and administration of additional AstraZeneca vaccines; the decision of Cabinet to reduce crowd sizes for all events, and the strong, very strong advice to consider the cancellation of this weekend's group or crowd activities and to observe ALL HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOLS.

A third shipment of 12,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccines arrived in the Virgin Islands today from the United Kingdom Government to assist in the local fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The British Virgin Islands Ports Authority (BVIPA) would like to inform the public of the new international ferry passenger schedule at Road Town Jetty and that the seaport option will go live on bvigateway.bviaa.com on 8 April 2021.
Since the British Virgin Islands reopened for tourism on December 1, 2020, the Government of the Virgin Islands has paid the cost of Gold Seal certified ground and marine transportation for all arrivals, to their Gold Seal approved accommodations on Day 0 as well as round trip transfers between their accommodations and the designated testing sites on Day 4.

The public is advised that the vaccination process is now open to everyone. Persons who have not received their first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine are encouraged to do so at one of the following locations on March 30 or 31.
The public is notified that the Government of the Virgin Islands’ Praise and Thanksgiving Service scheduled for today Sunday, March 28 is postponed until further notice.

The Ministry of Health is notifying the public that a person who tested positive for COVID-19 attended the funeral held on March 27th, 2021 at the Sea Cow’s Bay Methodist Church.
