His Excellency the Governor Augustus J. U. Jaspert convened a meeting this morning to discuss the Territory’s strategic response to the ongoing global Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Good afternoon to all those living and visiting the Virgin Islands.  A meeting was convened earlier today with the Premier, Deputy Premier, Minister of Health and Social Development and representatives of key response agencies across the public service to discuss the current global outbreak of COVID-19. I

The Ministry of Health and Social Development advises citizens and residents to exercise a high degree of caution when traveling to South Korea, Singapore and Italy (northern Italy) in response to the increase of COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) cases.  

New and renewing food handlers are notified of the schedule of sessions that will take place on Tortola on the following dates:

The Ministry of Health and Social Development has been carefully monitoring the 2019-Novel-Coronavirus outbreak and are working closely with the Caribbean Public Health Agency, which is providing frequent updates in line with the World Health Organization (who).

The public is notified that HIMA’s Rheumatology and Pulmonology clinics have resumed at the BVI Health Services Authority. Both clinics will be held tomorrow Friday January 24

Minister for Health and Social Development Honourable Carvin Malone is encouraging community members to motivate each other in the quest of a healthier life and a healthier Virgin Islands.
