Assistant Manager at the Department of Waste Management, Mr. Neville Allen has said that access to the Pockwood Pond incinerator will be limited to 4:00 p.m. daily in an effort to control the practice of indiscriminate dumping.

Fellow residents of the Virgin Islands, for too long we have been faced with the challenges of improper and inefficient waste management strategies. It is now a subject that must be addressed and solved.

The public is notified that the Territory-wide clean-up will be conducted in Districts 5 and 6 in May.

Minister for Health and Social Development Honourable Carvin Malone has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Green V.I to implement a recycling system across the Virgin Islands.

Residents of Virgin Gorda are being advised that the transporting of derelict vehicles by the Department of Waste Management continues from the sister island to Tortola by barge.

Approximately 180 derelict vehicles were collected and transported off Virgin Gorda in a continued effort to clean up the Virgin Islands.

The public is hereby notified that the Government of the Virgin Islands will be launching a comprehensive clean-up of the Territory.

Premier and Minister of Finance, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie will lead the charge over the course of six months to launch a comprehensive clean-up of the Territory.
