Residents of the Virgin Islands are encouraged to dispose of their bulky waste using the large bins in the following designated areas throughout the Territory from December 20 to 23.

Officials in the Department of Waste Management in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Development announce a Pre-Christmas Territory-wide Cleanup.

Mister Speaker, I am grateful for this opportunity to provide a further update to the people of this Territory on the status of repairs to the Solid Waste Incinerator plant at Pockwood Pond, Tortola.

Minister for Health and Social Development, Honourable Carvin Malone says he is pleased with the progress made with the installation of the new control panel for the Pockwood Pond incinerator. 

The Department of Waste Management is calling for trucking and wrecking companies to collect and transport derelict vehicles as part of the Territory wide clean-up campaign.

Works are on-going as the Ministry of Health and Social Development along with the Recovery Development Agency (RDA) award C.W. General Maintenance a contract to dismantle the old incinerator at Pockwood Pond making way for a new one.
