Director of the Water and Sewage Department Mr. Brian Davis said his department has addressed the situation on Virgin Gorda where residents were encountering a foul odor emanating from their taps.
The public is notified that a portion of Port Purcell Road will become one-way traffic from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Tuesday 29 August to facilitate the repair of a broken sewage manhole cover.

The Ministry of Communication and Works is making moves to recommission and upgrade the previously inoperable waste water treatment plant at Burt Point.
In his statement at the Second Sitting of the First Session of the Fifth House of Assembly, Minister for Communication and Works Honourable Kye M. Rymer said that recommissioning the waste water treatment plant is a priority for his ministry due to the fact that the inoperable facility currently poses a threat to the marine environment.
The Government of the Virgin Islands has signed a contract for the construction of an Inspection Chamber, Wet Wells and Mechanical Components for the Long Swamp Pump Station at the Cutlass Tower.
