The Department of Waste Management is asking the community not to block community dumpsters with bulky waste or green debris following the impact of Tropical Storm Ernesto.

The public is advised that the Civil Registry and Passport Office has resumed regular operations following a delayed reopening as a result of impacts from the passage of Tropical Storm Ernesto.

The public is advised that the offices within the Flax, Vanterpool and Theodolph Faulkner Administration Buildings on Virgin Gorda and Anegada, respectively, are offering limited services due to a lack of network connectivity.

The public is advised that the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Pockwood Pond will be providing limited services on, Thursday, August 15.

For the safety of motorists and essential workers, residents are urged to stay off the roads until an official all-clear is issued.

The public is being informed that the Ministry of Health and Social Development, located at the Vorinica’s House of Commerce in Long Bush, will be closed for the remainder of the day because of the impending Tropical Storm.

The Virgin Islands is currently under a hurricane watch in association with Tropical Storm Ernesto, which means that hurricane conditions are possible in our area within the next 12 hours.
