Residents of the Anegada community are notified that Minister for Education and Culture, Honourable Myron V. Walwyn will hold office hours on the sister island on Tuesday, December 5.
The public is asked to note that Director of Culture, Mrs. Luce Hodge-Smith and Assistant Principal of the Althea Scatliffe Primary School, Mr. Kayron Todman will make a guest appearance on the ZBVI 780 AM radio programme Umoja, tomorrow evening Thursday, November 16 at 6:00 p.m.

Madame Speaker, as a Territory we have just experienced the most devastating hurricane ever seen in our region. It has negatively impacted our lives but there are positive things that arise from this situation as well. In the words of Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel, "you never want a serious crisis to go to waste". This crisis provides an opportunity for us to correct some things and we must seize the opportunities.

Madam Speaker, thank you for the opportunity to make a brief statement to this Honourable House and the people of the Virgin Islands as I express our sincere gratitude to those persons who have assisted us or made pledges to assist our schools in one way or another.
Hong Kong–based BVI financial services industry professionals, Lions Club of Hong Kong IFC and Lions Club of Hong Kong Shouson Hill Charitable Foundation will host a fundraising event in support of the British Virgin Islands post-hurricane recovery efforts.
Minister for Education and Culture, Honourable Myron V. Walwyn has labelled it ‘an act of kindness that goes beyond business but rather speaks to humanity’ following the donation of a semi-permanent 4,000 square feet schooling facility on Virgin Gorda.
The staff and students of the Primary Division of the Bregado Flax Education Centre in Virgin Gorda had a special start of their academic year today with the donation of a 4000 square feet semi-permanent structure that will be used as their temporary school.
