The Enid Scatliffe Pre-Primary School will resume classes tomorrow, December 5.

The school was closed earlier today when a backed up sewerage pipe seeped through manholes and unto the compound.

The water and sewerage department along with maintenance officials from the Department of Education were contacted and the situation was rectified.

An intensive cleanup of the affected areas was undertaken by Corea’s Cleaning Services.

Minister for Education and Culture Honourable Myron V. Walwyn is informing the Virgin Gorda community that he will hold office hours on Virgin Gorda this Tuesday, December 9 at the Vanterpool Administration Building from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Principal, staff and students of the Jost Van Dyke Primary School invite the public to their annual Christmas Concert this Sunday, December 7, at 6:00 p.m.   The festivities will be held at Foxy’s and will feature several renditions from the students under the theme, "The Spirit of Giving”. In the spirit of unity, the students of the Jost Van Dyke Pre-School will also join in the celebrations.  All are invited to attend.

Nine persons have beaten the odds and earned their Secondary Education School Leaving Certificates as part of the Alternative Secondary Education Programme (ASEP) Graduation Exercise for the Class of 2014.
