Electrical Inspection Required For Electricity Reconnection

The Electrical Inspection Unit is informing all registered licenced electricians, contractors, home and business owners that an electrical inspection has to be carried out on residential or commercial premises that have been disconnected for six months and over. This inspection has to be completed before reconnection of electricity to the premises.

Electricians Urged To Pay Fees

All registered licenced electricians from classes A-D with outstanding electrical licence fees exceeding two years and more, are asked to contact the Electrical Inspection Unit to arrange the necessary payments as soon as possible.

The public is notified that the James Walter Francis Drive, Waterfront Drive, and Sir Francis Drake Highway between the BVI Ports Authority in Port Purcell and BVIEC Power Station in Pockwood Pond will also be closed Thursday, September 1 from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. This is to facilitate the transport of the remaining parts for the Wartsila generators.
