On Wednesday the 8th of June 2022, Cabinet was briefed by the Health Emergency Operations Centre on the current COVID-19 situation in the Virgin Islands. We were very encouraged by the continuing trend towards milder COVID-19 infections, fewer cases of severe disease, and reduced hospital admissions.
The public is notified that 200 pediatric doses of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine have arrived to the Territory and are now available for children ages 5 to11.

Acting Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Ronald Georges has reported that there are 151 active cases of COVID-19 in the Territory with most cases experiencing mild symptoms.
