The Ministry of Health and Social Development continues to encourage the public to get vaccinated as it remains the best defense against COVID-19. 

Today, the Ministry of Health and Social Development is informing the public of the continued rise in cases in the current outbreak of the Delta variant of COVID-19 in the Territory.

Today, the Ministry of Health and Social Development is informing the public that we are currently experiencing an increase of transmission of COVID-19 in the Territory associated with the Delta variant. 

Residents would have noticed a gradual increase in active cases over the last two months.  In particular, over the last two weeks cases have risen from an average of around 40 closer to 100 active cases.

According to Acting Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Ronald Georges persons can now get boosted with the Pfizer vaccine.

The public is invited to ‘The Premier’s Christmas Extravaganza with a Cultural Twist - The Sequel’ on Saturday, December 18, at the Festival Village Grounds from 3:00 p.m.

The public is informed that boosters and third doses of vaccines will be available in the Virgin Islands by the second week of December.
