The Cabinet Office is notifying the public that Statutory Instrument No. 7 Imposition of a Curfew (No.2) Order, 2021 is now available on the Virgin Islands Official Gazette website at https://eservices.gov.vg/gazette/.  The Instrument was published in an extraordinary issue of the Gazette No. 8 dated 27^th January, 2021.

Ten security and protection officers received His Excellency the Governor’s Medal for Meritorious Service at a recognition ceremony at the Old Government House Museum on Friday, January 22, 2021.

The public is notified that as of January 14, at 5:00 a.m. until January 28, Imposition of Curfew Order, 2021 takes effect between the hours of 2:01 a.m. to 4:59 a.m. daily.

The public is advised that the matter of Nicholas Cancro, John Hines Jr, Lynee Ann Hines and Jeanne McKinnon who were apprehended by the Joint Task Force on the 19th November, 2020 was heard before Magistrate Christilyn Benjamin at 2:00 p.m. on 1^st December, 2020.   

The Marine Base of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force is expected to be transformed to a 24/7 operation that is bigger, better and able to weather any storm on the completion of the $2,010,000 million-dollar project.

Approximately twenty-five veterans and supporters gathered for a brief ceremony at Government House today to mark Armistice Day in the Territory.

Good day Ladies and Gentlemen.  During the evening of Friday 6^th November, 2020 the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) conducted a covert operation and executed a search warrant at a property in Balsam Ghut.

I would like to deliver an update on the state of security in the Territory and I am joined by the Commissioner of Police, who can update on recent successful operations.

The Immigration and Passport Act (CAP.130) will be revised and amended to align with international standards and best practice and to ensure that the legislation is in keeping with the transformation plan for the Department of Immigration.
