The public including coaches and athletes are reminded that the A.O. Shirley Recreation Ground is not available for use.

Rehabilitation works on the track at the A.O. Shirley Recreational Grounds has commenced and is expected to continue for approximately four weeks.

The Government of the Virgin Islands in partnership with the BVI Football Association, under the FIFA umbrella, has broken ground in Greenland for the development of a 2,500 seat multi-purpose stadium for recreational and sporting facilities and associated works.

Tender for the A. O. Shirley Sports Ground – Bathroom Repairs

The RDA now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the track preparation at the A. O. Shirley Sports Grounds, Road Town, Tortola.

Young, aspiring British Virgin Islands athletes Stephan Deleon (basketball), Nashawnta Smith (baseball), Adaejah Hodge (track & field) and Angel George (tennis), are bound for Bradenton, Florida next month. The quartet, are the recipients of scholarships to attend the prestigious IMG Sports Academy in Florida from August 12 to 18, for a one-week Youth Core Sports Camp in their respective athletic disciplines. The scholarships are one of the benefits from the British Virgin Islands Tourist Board’s partnership with the Miami Open as the Caribbean Destination sponsor of the popular tennis tournament this year. 

On June 15 a memorable event took place as the Territory welcomed home its athletes who participated in the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

The British Virgin Islands Tourist Board (BVITB) in partnership with the prestigious U.S. based sports institution IMG Academy, is accepting applications for four aspiring BVI athletes to attend a “Week Youth Core Sport Camp”.
