PUBLIC ALERT: FRAUDULENT WEBSITE IMPERSONATING GOVERNMENT AGENCIES The Government of the Virgin Islands is advising the public of a fraudulent website, www.bvima.uk, which falsely presents itself as affiliated with the Virgin Islands Shipping and Maritime Authority (VISMA) and the Government of the Virgin Islands.
The Department of Immigration is alerting the public to a fraudulent website that is falsely representing itself as the official Government platform for applications for an Online ED Card for the Territory of the Virgin Islands and is unlawfully charging a fee to enter the Territory.

The disinformation comes from a fake website mimicking a local media house. The government advises the public to rely on official, verified channels for accurate information.
The public is advised that the Immigration and Passport (Amendment) Bill, 2024 is now available for review. The Bill was introduced in the House of Assembly on April 3, 2025, and can be accessed on the Virgin Islands Official Gazette website in Gazette No. 44 dated April 15, 2025.
