Mr. Speaker, the Caribbean Region is about to enter another hurricane season and I would encourage everyone to accelerate their preparations as we anticipate an active season.
The Territory’s residents are encouraged to ramp up their preparations now in light of the forecast “above average” tropical storm activity for the region, and in keeping with the BVI’s on-going response to COVID-19 as well as the possibility of other hazards.
Many of us would have seen the reports of the recent earthquake in Puerto Rico. Our thoughts are with those affected by any damage.
