Restorative work of the public picnic area at the Long Bay, Beef Island beach is expected to be completed before the end of the first quarter of 2025.

More than 21 environmental and technical officers have completed training in water quality monitoring, data analysis and storage.

The Government of the Virgin Islands (GOVI), acting through the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change (MENR&CC), is accepting bids to award a contract to provide cleaning services at the restroom facility located at long Bay Beach, Beef Island. 

The Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change in collaboration with H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC), Center Resource Management and Environmental Studies (CERMES) and Spatial Innovision Ltd conducted a series of training sessions to enhance the capability of environmental and technical officers in water quality monitoring, data analysis and storage.
