Luego, el pasajero fue transportado a Wyndham Tortola (Lambert Beach Resort) donde se esperaba que se pusiera en cuarentena y esperara la salida programada del Territorio el lunes 21 de diciembre de 2020.

On Sunday, 20^th December, 2020 a native of the Dominican Republic travelled to the BVI and was subsequently refused entry by Immigration at the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport. The passenger was then transported to Wyndham Tortola (Lambert Beach Resort) where he was expected to quarantine and await the scheduled departure from the Territory on Monday, 21^st December, 2020.

Minister for Health and Social Development Honourable Carvin Malone has reported that there are 11 active cases of COVID-19 in the British Virgin Islands.

The Ministry of Health and Social Development and BVI Health Services Authority this week welcome a team of experts from Public Health England (PHE) to provide technical support and advice on key health initiatives.

Due to recent breaches in quarantine procedures by guests testing positive for Covid-19, the Public Health Division of the Ministry of Health is currently conducting contact tracing and investigations. Any person who patronised the following establishments are urged to contact Public Health Division to be tested for COVID-19:

Minister for Health and Social Development Honourable Carvin Malone has confirmed three (3) new imported positive cases of COVID-19 in the British Virgin Islands.

Persons in quarantine are notified of the testing schedule for their Day 4 PCR test. Persons will be picked up at the following places and time:

Premier and Minister of Finance, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie has said the additional approved mooring sites of Little Harbour, Great Harbour and Deadman’s Bay have been added to the marine protocol for those quarantining on approved vessels for the mandatory four complete days upon entry in to the Territory.
