The Department of Youth Affairs and Sports is working diligently on updating the Virgin Islands National Sports Policy.
To achieve this objective, the department is appealing to the entire community to participate in a survey designed to provide essential data upon which to craft and update the Virgin Islands National Sports Policy.
This November marks 69 years of Arbour Day celebrations in The Virgin Islands. The first Arbour Day celebration was held in 1953, when J. R. O’Neal was delegated to provide trees to plant on the occasion of the Queen’s Coronation around the old recreation grounds. This idea blossomed into an annual event led by the National Parks Trust of the Virgin Islands. This year the National Parks Trust of the Virgin Islands will be partnering with UNITE BVI to bring a host of activities to the general public.

Virgin Islands’ professional cyclist Darel Christopher Jr. has completed the 2022 UCI (Union Cyclist International) Road World Championships held in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia from September 17 to the 25.
Premier and Minister of Finance Dr. the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley congratulated Team BVI for representing the Territory at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in the United Kingdom.

Premier and Minister of Finance Dr. the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley has completed a successful visit to the United Kingdom (UK) where he met with officials and the VI team who are participating in the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

The BVI Olympic Committee announced the team of 15 athletes that will be representing the BVI at the inaugural Caribbean Games which are scheduled to take place in Guadeloupe from June 29 to July 3, 2022.
