Officers from the Central Statistics Office are featured as they hosted an educational session for members of the Virgin Islands community today, in observance of Caribbean Statistics Day.

The Central Statistics Office will be hosting educational sessions in observance of Caribbean Statistics Day.

The Government of the Virgin Islands will join its regional counterparts in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) to observe Caribbean Statistics Day on Tuesday, October 15.

The public is notified of the closure of the Central Statistics Office, East Wing, Central Administration Complex, due to water damage caused by the recent inclement weather. 

Officers from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) and other public officers, stakeholders and partners can now communicate more effectively and deliver statistical messages and data products after participating in a Statistical Advocacy and Communications Workshop.

Officials from the Ministry of Finance are training assessors on instruments to collect information for the Institutional Assessments (IA).

Assessors are receiving training in techniques to collect information for the Participatory Poverty Assessment (PPA).

The crucial role statistics plays across a wide spectrum of activities was emphasised as the Territory joined its regional counterparts in the observance of Caribbean Statistics Day.

In order for the Labour Department to assess the workforce needs in the Territory, the Department is requesting that all business owners/employers and managers within the business community to provide updated information

The public is notified that the Government of the Virgin Islands will be conducting a preliminary testing phase of the Country Assessment of Living Conditions.
